BULK POLYMERIZATION PROCESS FOR PRODUCING POLYDIENES

A method for preparing polydiene is provided to prepare polydienes with high cis-1,4-bond content and narrow distribution of molecular weight by using a lanthanum-based catalyst system. A method for preparing polydiene comprises a step of polymerizing conjugated diene monomers by a lanthanide catalyst system. The polymerizing step is performed in a polymerization mixture. The lanthanide catalyst system comprises a lanthanide compound selected from the group consisting of lanthanide organophosphate, lanthanide organophosphonate and lanthanide organophosphinate; an alkylating agent; and a combination or reaction product of a chlorine-containing compound.
