PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To surely and quickly perform and end trial video recording for preventing failure in important video recording without the need of complicated operation. SOLUTION: When a "trial video recording" button 20a on a remote controller 20 is depressed, a microcomputer 12 executes a series of processes for video-recording information of an already set channel in a recording medium (e.g. an HD) only for 20 sec. e.g., and after the end of video-recording, playing back the video-recorded information, and after the end of playback, erasing the video-recorded information from the video-recording medium (HD). During the playback of the video recorded information, set items (a video recording channel number, a video recording mode, a video recording medium, a video recording format, video recordable time, a video recording sound, etc.) about the video recording are displayed on a monitor screen under the playback.
