PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a receiving apparatus and a board installing member for simplifying a process to install a board circuit to the other board circuits without requiring a chassis in the process. SOLUTION: This receiving apparatus includes a first board including a mounting surface the outer fringe of which is almost quadrilateral, and a board installing member including a plate-like portion having an installing surface the outer fringe of which is almost quadrilateral, while the first board is installed on the installing surface (front surface) side and the surface (rear surface) side of the rear of the installing surface is installed on a second board. This receiving apparatus applies a prescribed treatment to a received broadcast signal by the circuit of the first board, and the board installing member includes a connecting terminal to electrically connect the first board with the second board and leg portions used for the installation on the second board. The connecting terminal protrudes from the plate-like portion almost perpendicularly on the front surface side and the rear surface side, and comes into contact with the first board on the front surface side while coming into contact with the second board on the rear surface side.
