PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce the total height and the underground depth (height) of a frame for a vehicle detector, and to reduce the working time required for setting the frame by facilitating and speeding up fixation thereof to a steel floor system (or concrete slab) while preventing interference of a tool for rotating nuts with a main member or other anchor bolts during the fixation to the steel floor system (or concrete slab) through anchor bolts and nuts. SOLUTION: The frame for vehicle detector 9 for fixing a tread for detecting the number of axes of passing vehicles on a road surface comprises two main members 11 disposed substantially in parallel to each other with a predetermined space, and having substantially the same height as the tread; and a plurality of receiving plates 12 each welded to the main members, and disposed substantially in parallel to each other with a predetermined space. Through-holes 16 for inserting anchor bolts are formed respectively in end portions of the receiving plate 12 which are located outside the outer side surfaces of the main members 11.
