DISPLAY APPARATUS AND CONTROL METHOD THEREOF

A display device and a control method thereof are provided to generate index information by using PUSI(payload unit start identification) information included in the header of an image signal, and determine frame information by referring to the index information. A processing unit(20) processes a transport stream by the control of a controller, and then converts/outputs it in a format for enabling a display unit to display it as an image. A demultiplexing unit(21) demultiplexes the transport stream and then transmits the demultiplexed result to a descrambler(23). The descrambler descrambles the scrambled transport stream which only a specified user can view. A decoder(25) decodes a video PES/ES and a voice PES/ES based on time information for synchronizing video information with voice information.
