<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To simply and accurately measure the environment in a house or office. <P>SOLUTION: An environment monitoring device 1 is constituted so as to measure the concentration of carbon dioxide and the concentration of oxygen in air in its periphery by an environment measuring USB module 20 equipped with a CO<SB>2</SB>sensor 22 and an O<SB>2</SB>sensor 23. The measured concentration of carbon dioxide and the measured concentration of oxygen are stored in an environment database, and the states of the concentration of carbon dioxide and the concentration of oxygen are displayed on the basis of the stored data. Accordingly, the concentration of carbon dioxide and concentration of oxygen in the work environment of a user himself or herself can be measured with high accuracy. Further, since the environment measuring module 20 can be constituted so as to be connected to the USB interface 17 of PC, the concentration of carbon dioxide and the concentration of oxygen can be simply measured.
