<p>A thermoplastic resin composition for lamp housings is provided which comprises: 100 parts by weight of a resin composition (R) comprising 1-99 wt.% graft copolymer (A) obtained by polymerizing a (meth)acrylic ester monomer (b1) whose homopolymer has a glass transition temperature (Tg) exceeding 0°C, in the presence of a composite rubber (a) comprising a polyorganosiloxane (a1) and a poly(meth)acrylic ester (a2) and subsequently polymerizing an aromatic vinyl monomer (b2) and a vinyl cyanide monomer (b3) and 99-1 wt.% thermoplastic resin (B) [provided that (A)+(B)=100 wt.%]; and 0.1-5 parts by weight of an antistatic agent (C) incorporated in the composition (R), the agent (C) having a melting point of 250°C or lower. Also provided is a molding of the composition. In hot plate welding, stringiness between the hot mold, e.g., hot plate, and the housing-constituting material can be inhibited. Furthermore, when a surface of the molding is subjected to direct vapor deposition, in which a metal is directly vapor-deposited without undercoating, then a beautiful brilliant appearance can be obtained.</p> |
