<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a multi-junction silicon thin-film photoelectric converter with high conversion efficiency, which balances current in each silicon thin-film photoelectric conversion unit with a high value by developing technology for manufacturing an intermediate layer exhibiting a superior optical characteristic. <P>SOLUTION: In the multi-junction silicon thin-film photoelectric converter, the silicon thin-film photoelectric conversion units are connected in series through an intermediate layer. A transparent oxide layer, a carbon layer and a transparent oxide layer are sequentially laminated in the intermediate layer.
