PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To facilitate tuning of a pneumatic shock absorber. SOLUTION: For attaining the purpose, this pneumatic shock absorber D1 in the problem solving means has a cylinder 1 and a piston 2 slidingly inserted into the cylinder 1 and defining two pressure chambers R1 and R2 in the cylinder 1, and is provided with a passage 3 communicating the two pressure chambers R12 and R2 outside the cylinder 1, a damping valve 4 freely attached-detached in the middle of the passage 3 from an external part and applying resistance to gas passing through the passage 3, and a gas supply-exhaust hole 5 capable of supplying and exhausting the gas to the passage 3.
