PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electric servomotor for a power-assisted steering system capable of maintaining an appropriate ratio of a diameter and a length and covering a steering output range from a compact car to an upper grade automobile by a significant volume change. SOLUTION: This invention relates to the electric servomotor for the electric servomotor for the power-assisted steering system in an automobile provided with a stator-core pack having an outer diameter D and an expandable and contractive length M. A ratio of the outer diameter D of the stator-core pack 2 to the expandable and contractive length M can be changed. Consequently, the electric servomotor 1 can be used for the power-assisted steering systems for the compact car to the upper grade automobile when the outer diameter D is kept constant.
