PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To accurately adjust the position of a headrest in a short period of time. SOLUTION: A headrest position adjusting device 100 is provided with an electrostatic capacity sensor part 10 and a drive motor part 30. The electrostatic capacity sensor part 10 is provided with a plurality of detection electrodes 11-15, and a detection circuit 20. Each detection electrodes 11-15 are arranged in a condition where the same are provided in parallel over whole area in a height direction at a front surface side of the headrest 43 with keeping even intervals. The detection circuit 20 is provided with an operation process circuit 28 and a plurality of electrostatic capacity detection circuits 21-25 connected to each detection electrode 11-15 one by one. A drive motor part 30 is provided with a motor drive circuit and a drive motor. The headrest 43 is positioned at a position adjustment start position at start of position adjustment, and the position is adjusted based on output of detection electrodes 11-15 at the position adjustment start position.
