#CMT# #/CMT# The transformer has two windings arranged on a single or multiple layered base printed circuit board (1) and a single or multiple layered daughter printed circuit board (2) respectively, where the windings are formed as conductive paths. The daughter printed circuit board is completely sealed as a separate part with a casting resin (3) and is attached to the base printed circuit board. The circuit boards are connected with each other for producing electric connections, and guide openings (5) for a cover bracket (6) of an E or F core (7) are inserted into the circuit boards. #CMT#USE : #/CMT# Transformer for a switching regulator and a forward converter of a switching power supply. #CMT#ADVANTAGE : #/CMT# The daughter printed circuit board is completely sealed as the separate part with the casting resin and is attached to the base printed circuit board, thus providing a flat design for the transformer in a cost-effective manner, and completely electrically insulating the daughter printed circuit board of the transformer, and hence avoiding safe distance of the transformer.
