<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a rolling shaft which has low hardness at an end face and has a controlled variation of hardness. <P>SOLUTION: A roller shaft 2 is used in a bearing for a rocker arm 1. The roller shaft 2 is made from bearing steel. In addition, the roller shaft 2 is subjected to a treatment of carbonitriding it at A1 point or higher, a treatment of cooling it to lower than the A1 point, a treatment of induction-hardening its rolling surface, and a treatment of removing the surface layer part of the end face 2c. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT</p> |
