METHOD FOR PRODUCING 6-HALOGENO-3-ARYLPYRIDINE DERIVATIVE

<p>Disclosed is a commercially advantageous method for producing a 6-halogeno-3-arylpyridine derivative by a short process, which does not require extremely low temperature conditions and produces no by-products which are difficult to be separated. Specifically disclosed is a method for producing a 6-halogeno-3-arylpyridine derivative represented by general formula (III), which comprises a first step of reacting a 2,5-dihalogenopyridine derivative represented by general formula (I) with a magnesiation agent, and a second step of reacting the product of the first step with a halogenoaryl derivative represented by general formula (II) in the presence of a palladium compound.</p>
