PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a sliding door retracting device, eliminating the state of forgetting to close the door in the vicinity of the door closing side, and fitted to an existing sliding door after its construction, and reduced in size. SOLUTION: This sliding door retracting device includes: a locking member fitted to a frame body; a sliding member displaceable in the opening and closing of the sliding door; a guide member fitted to the sliding door and supporting the sliding member; a spring force accumulator having a rotating member engaging with the sliding member to be rotated, which is adapted to accumulate the spring energizing force by the rotation and energize the sliding member in the opening direction of the sliding door; a trigger member rotatably fitted to the sliding member and including an engagement part having a pair of engaging elements engaged with the locking member; and a trigger rotation preventing member, which is fitted to the sliding door, slidably engages with the trigger member until the sliding door is opened to a predetermined position to disable rotation, and has a rotation preventing surface for retaining the state where the engagement part engages with the locking member.
