The invention relates to a filter system (1) for filtering at least one liquid, especially of an internal combustion engine and/or a vehicle, comprising an annular first filter element (1) that separates a crude side (5) from a clean side (6) in a first filter chamber (4) and has a first plug (11) which axially and eccentrically projects relative to a central longitudinal axis (10) of the first filter element (2) and axially extends into a first plug receptacle (12) in a properly inserted state in the first filter chamber (4). Said filter system (1) also comprises an annular second filter element (3) that separates a crude side (8) from a clean side (9) in a second filter chamber (7) and has a second plug (14) which axially and eccentrically projects relative to a central longitudinal axis (13) of the second filter element (3) and axially extends into a second plug receptacle (15) in a properly inserted state in the second filter chamber (7). The filter elements (2, 3) differ from one another at least in that the plugs (11, 14) have different eccentricities and/or shapes.
