<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enable a user to instinctively obtain a degree of popularity of each selection target such as a degree of popularity of each program in an electronic program guide. <P>SOLUTION: A display system is for displaying degrees of popularity of a plurality of selection targets like an electronic program guide display system, for example, and includes a plurality of user terminals. Each of the plurality of user terminals is connected to a server via a network, for example. Each user terminal displays a plurality of program information in a matrix manner, and accepts an operation for selecting desired program information. The server calculates a degree of popularity of each program information on the basis of selection results of respective user terminals and transmits the degree of popularity to each user terminal. In the user terminal, a display manner of each program information is changed on the basis of the degree of popularity.
