PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a developer for liquid magnetography, with which an image with high quality can be formed by liquid magnetography and low temperature fixing including pressure fixing can be carried out without giving adverse influences on the picture quality, and to provide an image forming apparatus using the developer. SOLUTION: The developer for liquid magnetography comprises at least a magnetic capsule toner having a core/shell structure and containing a magnetic powder and a fixing component, and an aqueous medium.
