PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for producing a sugar composition capable of significantly shortening a required time for acid succharification treatment while using an acid in a low concentration at a saccharification step at low temperature under normal pressure, without requiring pulverization treatment of a lignocellulose-based biomass raw material, and without causing the reduction of the recovery of sugar. SOLUTION: The method for producing the saccharides from the lignocellulose-based biomass includes a grinding treatment step for carrying out the grinding treatment of the lignocellulose-based biomass of the raw material at 80-200°C temperature, an acid saccharification treatment step for obtaining a sugar-containing liquid by subjecting the lignocellulose of the raw material, subjected to the grinding treatment at the grinding treatment step, to acid hydrolysis at≤35°C liquid temperature, preferably≤25°C, and a sugar liquid-separating step for separating and obtaining the sugar-containing liquid by removing an insoluble fraction from the acid saccharification-treated liquid from the acid saccharification treatment step.
