PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a water absorbing agent which comprises a water absorbing resin particle as an essential component and is suitable for uses in hygienic materials. SOLUTION: The water absorbing agent comprises the water absorbing resin particle obtained by polymerizing an acid group-containing unsaturated monomer and has 5-20 g/g Centrifuge Retention Capacity (CRC). The water absorbing agent comprises a compound, which has a constitutional unit derived from polyalkylene glycol and is other than the acid group-containing unsaturated monomer, and polyvalent metal salt and thereby has high Saline Flow Conductivity (SFC) in such the Centrifuge Retention Capacity (CRC).
