WDM/TDM HYBRID OPTICAL NETWORK SYSTEM AND APPARATUS THEREOF

A WDM/TDM hybrid optical network system and an apparatus thereof are provided to increase the transmission distance, remotely the network state and realize the duplication of an optical line. An H-OLT(Hybrid Optical Line Termination)(100) comprises a WDM wavelength branching coupler(140). The WDM wavelength branching coupler combines the M number of downlink WDM optical signals received from a WDM optical transceiver. An RTD(Remote Terminal for Distribution)(200) changes the downlink WDM optical signals into the M number of downlink TDM optical signals. Optical splitters(310, 320) branch the downlink TDM optical signals into optical signals.
