Disclosed are an antibody and a vaccine composition which are capable of substantially preventing or treating the infection with Pseudomonas aeruginosa, and which are applicable to a wide variety of clinically isolated strains of Pseudomonas aeruginosa derived from patients suffering from the infection withPseudomonas aeruginosa. Specifically disclosed are: an antibody directed against PA1698 protein which is a component protein for type-III secretion system in Pseudomonas aeruginosa or a peptide of the protein; and a vaccine composition comprising the protein or the peptide.
