A display device is provided to generate a uniform top light on a high performance display by including a LED light source. A display device(6) includes a bottom substrate, a top substrate, a liquid crystal layer, and a light source. The bottom substrate includes a reflective type display pixel electrode(16). The liquid crystal layer is formed between the top substrate and the bottom substrate. The light source is arranged on the top substrate in order to light the reflective type display pixel electrode through the liquid crystal layer. The light source includes a LED light source. The light source includes an opaque electrode layer(60), a LED layer(61), and a transparent electrode layer(62). The LED layer is formed on a top part and a side of the opaque electrode layer. The transparent electrode layer is formed on a top part of the LED layer.
