An ultrasound system and a method thereof are provided to remove a gap generated in an ultrasound image of a second diagnostic mode during a time to obtain an ultrasound image of a first diagnostic mode in a multiple mode. A transceiving part(120) transmits/receives a first ultrasound beam for obtaining an ultrasound image of a first diagnostic mode during a first time, and forms a first receiving signal. The transceiving part transmits/receives a second ultrasound beam for obtaining an ultrasound image of a second diagnostic mode, and forms a second receiving signal. A first image processing part(132) forms an ultrasound image of the first diagnostic mode based on the first receiving signal. A second image processing part(134) forms an ultrasound image of the second diagnostic mode based on the second receiving signal. The second image processing part extracts a boundary point in the ultrasound image of the second diagnostic mode, and estimates a boundary point of a gap section generated in the ultrasound image of the second diagnostic mode during the first time. The second image processing part performs gap filling of the gap section based on the estimated boundary point.
