An apparatus for real-time compensation of heat distortion in a machine tool is provided to obtain signals for three axes and ambient temperature and calculate a reference point correction value in real time. An apparatus for real-time compensation of heat distortion in a machine tool comprises an A/D conversion unit(48) converting the temperature value of each axis of the machine tool and the ambient temperature value into digital values, a digital signal processing unit which computes thermal deformation expectation data using the algorithm of multiple linear regression model and neural network model, and an RS(Recommended Standard) 232 module unit(50) which transmits the thermal deformation expectation data to a CNC(Computer Numerical Controller).
