<p>The invention relates to a mobile system and a method for weighing motor vehicles while applying the legislation relating to weight limits, either the axis or whole weight limits, concerning the motor vehicles running on public roads in Romania, the system also being provided with a computing module meant for overweight cases, a module for image take over and transmission, and a module for the automatic counting and classifying the motor vehicles in the road traffic. The weight control system comprises some portable weighing platforms (1), a plug box (2), a portable computer (3), a portable printer (4) an external display (5), a pre-signalling light panel (6), some level platforms (9), a video camera (10), a radar detector (11), a digital rule (12), all those elements being transported by a transport vehicle (13) specially adapted to this purpose. The claimed control method sequentially determines the weights on each axis or group of axes and the total weight by addition, the overall dimensions and automatically calculates the penalty and authorization fees in case of surpassing the legal weight and/or size limits, while editing, storing and printing the legal documents corresponding to the control activity, namely: the Weighing Ticket, the Contravention Report and the Special Transport Authorization.</p> |
