METHOD FOR WASHING SHRINKABLE TEXTILES AND A WASHING MACHINE FOR CARRYING OUT SAID METHOD

The invention relates to a method for washing a batch of washing from shrinkable textiles in a program-controlled washing machine, wherein the batch of washing while processing during a part of the process regulated correspondingly to the textile requirements is set in motion in a rotatably mounted washing drum with a water flow and possibly washing agents, wherein a starting and operating time of a drum driving motor are predefined. The invention also relates to a washing machine for carrying out said method. According to said method at the beginning of the washing process the motor operates with a relatively high rate of duration (ED) of activating compared to the possible duration of activating, and then said rate is decreased step by step or continuously during the part of the process in order to reduce the mechanical energy applied to the textile according to the shrinkability thereof which strongly increases along with the increase of the washing process time. In such a way the textile is preliminarily wetted with an optimal water quantity or soapy solution without producing the excessive textile shrinkage.
