MONITORING OF CAPACITOR

A capacitive element is monitored to detect at least one of a degradation level, a capacitor life expectancy, and preferably servicing alarms are generated upo n detection of a critical health state. The system allows, among other things, non-hermetically sealed capacitances to be safely and cost-effectively used in weight-sensitive applications, such as in aircraft electronic systems.
