摘要 <P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a video display system having improved displaying quality. <P>SOLUTION: On a light source 11 and a video display device 13 provided separately and connected to each other via lighting fiber optics 12, a detection unit 14 is arranged along the lighting fiber optics 12. The detection unit 14 has a detection part 18, and detection fiber optics 19 for transferring incident light into the detection part 18. The detection fiber optics 19 are provided in close contact with the surface of the lighting fiber optics 12 so that its shape is changed along with the lighting fiber optics 12.
