A method for exchanging service includes that: copying a service exchange request to multiple exchange units, the exchange unit receiving the service exchange request sends the request to the corresponding one or more output ports; after determining, the exchange unit and the output port which can receive the service exchange return back a grant message to the input port; then the input port selects the appropriate exchange device and output port to send the service. Also, a service exchange unit and device are provided, by copying and sending a service exchange request, and indicating by pointer, the present invention can implement the multiple exchange unit to communication each other, and can effectively solve the block problem in the service transmission.
