A method for preparing snacks using an extruder is provided to produce various-shaped snacks such as animal-shaped snack and star-shaped snack by rolling dough using a general extruder and a pressure roller and continuously baking the dough in an oven. A method for preparing snacks using an extruder comprises the following steps of: mixing ingredients and extruding them into various shapes; cutting the extrudate 3-5mm in thickness; rolling 0.7-1.2mm in thickness; and baking them. The ingredients consist of 5-20 parts of corn, 20-50 parts of whole wheat, 30-50 parts of flour and 0.5-1.5 parts of oils and fats. The extrusion condition is 2.5 ~ 4.5 kg/min of an ingredient feed rate, 130 ~ 150°C of extrusion temperature, 400~ 500 RPM of a screw speed and 1,000 ~ 1,200 of extrusion pressure. A seasoning is spread on the rolled ingredients after the baking. The size of a mold used in the extrusion step is 10-15mm in length and width. |
