<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a disposable-type electrochemical sensor of a small scale with an antibody fixed on an electrode for rapidly/simply measuring enzymatic activity with satisfactory accuracy. <P>SOLUTION: This electrochemical sensor is made by fixing the antibody on a metallic electrode by covalent bonding through the medium of hydrophilic macromolecules such as polyethylene glycol (PEG) and is characterized by being used for detecting variations in an electrochemical signal, such as oxidation or reduction current, caused by an action of an antigen on the fixed antibody. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT |
