PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a rubber composition for a lining strip, excellent in processability and capable of imparting an excellent run flat durability. SOLUTION: This rubber composition for the lining strip is obtained by blending≥0.5 pt.mass and≤50 pts.mass paper fibers based on 100 pts.mass rubber component, and a pneumatic tire produced by using the rubber composition for the lining strip is also provided.
