PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a wheel bearing device with a rotating speed detecting device for securing durability over a long period, by preventing foreign matter from entering inside a bearing, by simply assembling the rotating speed detecting device. SOLUTION: An outer diameter of an inner ring 5 is formed with a large diameter part 24 and a small diameter part 25 in a predetermined step height from the large diameter part 24. A base 22 joined with an encoder 19 is pressed in the large diameter part 24. An inner side seal 9 is installed in an opening part of an annular space formed between the small diameter part 25 and a fitting ring 11. The seal 9 is composed of core metal 16 mutually oppositely arranged by being formed in a cross-sectional substantially L shape and fitted in a cylindrical part 11c of the fitting ring 11, an annular seal plate 14 composed of a seal member 17 integrally joined to this core metal 16, and a slinger 15 pressed in the small diameter part 25 of the inner ring 5.
