PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electrophoretic display device and an electronic apparatus, with which occurrence of malfunctional motion of a memory circuit due to variations in elements is prevented, and which is excellent in manufacturability and reliability of operation. SOLUTION: A potential of an input terminal of the memory circuit connected to a pixel switching element can be fixed to be higher than a prescribed potential by using a resistance element. Consequently the potential of the data input terminal (an input terminal of a transmission inverter; an output terminal of a feedback inverter) of the memory circuit is certainly defined even when a current driving force of the pixel switching element is reduced and/or an on-resistance of a transistor of the feedback inverter is reduced due to variations of manufacturing. Thereby a pixel signal is certainly input in the memory circuit. Consequently, according to the invention, the electrophoretic display device operating with certainty by suppressing influence of the variations of manufacturing and excellent in manufacturability and reliability of operation is provided.
