The treated liquid is subsequently supplied to the wort. During the brewing process, an aqueous liquid is separately transferred with hops product and is heated in a closed container for an isomerization of the bitter material. The treated liquid is subsequently supplied to the wort. The aqueous liquid is heated at a temperature above the atmospheric cooking temperature for a period of 5-90 minutes during the temperature treatment of the wort, is homogeneously mixed with the hops product and is used with a pH-value of greater than 5. A partial flow of the wort is extracted from the post-mashing of the wort as liquid before the temperature treatment, where the liquid is used for coating the hops product to be added. A flushing is carried out with a further partial flow of the wort after supplying the treated liquid to the wort. The liquid in the closed container is partially transferred in its vaporous condition. The container is opened after heating under pressure reduction and the remaining liquid is guided in the wort. The hops product such as hops extract is added to the liquid with few solid matters and the treated liquid is supplied to the wort before the hot trub separation.
