PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an on-board audio unit enabling viewing and listening of a broadcast program, even when the reception of a broadcast program fails during vehicle running. SOLUTION: When a predetermined recording (audio recording) start condition is satisfied, recording the broadcast program received by a first tuner 4, a second tuner 5 or a television tuner 6 is started in an external memory 9 or a memory 25. When a predetermined recording (audio recording) termination condition is satisfied, recording the broadcast program in the external memory 9 or the memory 25 is terminated. Thereafter, for example, when a predetermined reproduction start condition, such as when the vehicle proceeds to an insensitive zone in which the broadcast program reception condition is not good, is satisfied, the recorded broadcast program is reproduced using a speaker 11 and a display device 10. When a predetermined reproduction termination condition is satisfied, reproducing of the recorded broadcast program is terminated. Each of the conditions is determined by initial setting.
