<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To properly compensate a phase difference, while facilitating production, in an optical compensation plate used in a liquid crystal device or the like. <P>SOLUTION: This optical compensation plate 300 is provided with the first crystal plate 310 with a refractive index anisotropy having either of positive polarity or negative polarity, and the second crystal plate 320 arranged oppositely to the first crystal plate, with a refractive index anisotropy having the other out of the positive polarity and the negative polarity. The first crystal plate and the second crystal plate have respectively refractive indexes and thicknesses to make a phase difference of the whole to be near to a desired phase difference, by canceling the phase differences of the respective crystal plates each other. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT |
