<p>A method for displaying an instant messaging user interface and an instant messaging client, the method including that contact person information is displayed on the instant messaging user interface. Contact persons receive an instruction from the user; any contact person not to be displayed of all contact persons is determined according to the instruction, and the information of contact persons which is determined not to be displayed is not displayed on the instant messaging user interface. The instant messaging client includes an instruction reception module, for receiving instructions from the user and providing said instructions to the display control module, and a display control module, for displaying contact person information on the instant messaging user interface. According to the instructions provided by the instruction reception module, it is determined which contact information of all contact persons is not to be displayed, and the contact information of such contact persons is not displayed on the said user interface. The privacy of the user can be very well protected by using this invention.</p> |
