<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a light emitting diode module that prevent change in a current flowing through a light emitting diode even when ambient temperature varies. <P>SOLUTION: A constant voltage is applied from a constant voltage power supply Vcc to both ends of a serial connection circuit consisting of a group LEDs of light emitting diodes connected in series and a current limiting resistor R so as to drive the light emitting diodes. The light emitting diode module includes a current compensation circuit for correcting a current which flows through the light emitting diodes and varies with forward direction voltage temperature characteristics of the light emitting diodes. The current compensation circuit includes diodes D1, D2 having temperature characteristics corresponding to the forward direction voltage temperature characteristics of the light emitting diodes, and acts to supply a compensation current I3 generated based on a current flowing through the diodes to the current limiting resistor R. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT</p> |
