PORTABLE TERMINAL AND PROGRAM

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a portable terminal which can perform setup suitably at a required timing after performing noncontact communication with an external apparatus.

SOLUTION: A CPU 1 starts a search operation for detecting whether a portable terminal is under a specific situation or not only when entry processing is performed when gaining entry to a specific facility according to noncontact communication between an external apparatus 20 with an IC reader/writer and a noncontact IC card processing section 11, and sets a predetermined state (e.g., speaker off state/communication function off state/body off state) when the specific situation is detected by the search operation.
