<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To effectively utilize resources by improving efficiency in output data processing when magnification is set for printing. <P>SOLUTION: Only when a scanner input image (A4) is magnified (A3) and then exceeds a main scanning width (e.g., A3 portrait size) determined as a capacity of a line buffer of an image processing means 25, data is output through a first route shown in Fig.12(A) wherein image is rotated by an image rotating means (1)26 prior to image processing. when not exceeding, the image is directly transferred from an image extending means 23 to the image processing means 25, thereby improving processing efficiency.
