PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a water-repellent surface protective agent for exterior surfaces, which is a coating agent capable of imparting water repellency to a surface such as a hard surface of an automobile when applied, and which allows easy finish by wiping after application and is excellent in water repellency, contamination resistance, washing resistance and weather resistance. SOLUTION: The water-repellent surface protective agent for exterior surfaces contains 100 pts.mass of a moisture-curable liquid silicone oligomer A, 0.1-40 pts.mass of a curing catalyst B for the oligomer A, and 1-100 pts.mass of a straight-chain modified polydimethylsiloxane C having silanol groups as both terminal groups, and further contains≤500 pts.mass of a volatile solvent D, based on 1 pt.mass, in total, of the components A, B and C, wherein the volatile solvent D comprises at least one of silicone-based volatile solvents, hydrocarbon-based volatile solvents and polar group-containing volatile solvents and can dissolve or disperse the components A, B and C.
