PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a new method for synthesizing an aromatic amine compound in high reaction conversion. SOLUTION: The method for synthesizing an aromatic amine compound is provided, which comprises conducting a reaction between an amine compound having a specific structure and an aromatic iodide having a specific structure in the presence of copper and potassium carbonate, wherein the specific surface area of the potassium carbonate is 0.20 m<SP>2</SP>/g or greater.
