<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To suppress a phenomenon that a driving force is generated in the case that gas from gas injection holes of an inflator is derived out from a retainer while it is not fixed with a vehicle. <P>SOLUTION: The gas generator 40 of the airbag module is provided with the inflator 41 and the retainer 45. The plurality of gas injection holes 42 are provided for a substantially overall circumference of an outer circumferential surface in a predetermined area about an axial line direction of the cylinder-like inflator 41. The retainer 45 has a cylindrical part 46 and keeps it with the inflator 41 inserted in it and derives the gas G from the gas injection holes 42 out in a direction crossing the axial line L2 via an opening part 48 provided for the cylindrical part 46. An auxiliary opening part 49 for deriving part of the gas G from the gas injection holes 42 in a direction for weakening the driving force generated accompanying the derivation of the gas G from the opening part 48 is provided in a position deviated in a circumferential direction for the opening part 48 which is a substantially same position as the opening part 48 for the axial line direction of the retainer 45. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT |
