<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a building, achieving air conditioning for the whole building even if a vertical boundary part partitioning into upper and lower floors to be air-conditioned is not provided with air conditioning equipment. <P>SOLUTION: In a two-storied building 10, heating equipment 31 is provided in an underfloor space 15 in a first floor area 12, and cooling equipment 41 is provided in a space 16 under the roof in a second floor space 13. The first floor surface 12a is provided with a heating blow-off port 35, from which warm air is blown off during heating. Simultaneously warm air is introduced through a second floor communicating hole 62 from a ventilation passage 27 into the respective living rooms 23, 24 of the second floor area 13. A second floor ceiling surface 13b is provided with a cooling blow-off port 45, from which cold air is blown off during cooling.
