PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a new assaying method for teratogenicity-inducing activity that a substance possesses. SOLUTION: The method for assaying teratogenicity-inducing activity of the substance includes: (a) a first step of contacting a cell with a test substance, in the differentiation inducing process from a multipotential stem cell, having myocardial differentiation potential, to a cardiomyocyte-like cell; (b) a second step of measuring the extracellular field potential or the action potential of the differentiation-induced cardiomyocyte-like cell, after the first step; and (c) a third step of evaluating the presence or the extent of the teratogenicity-inducing activity of the test substance, based on the difference obtained by comparing the measurement result of the second step, with the result obtained on a control cell which is free of contact with the test specimen.
