A portable terminal having an external module and a display method of a charging state of the portable terminal are provided to charge a battery mounted in an external module through a terminal body and easily distinguish a charging state through the terminal body, thereby increasing user's convenience. The second terminal body(20) slides to the first terminal body(10) along with at least one direction. An indicator is equipped in the first terminal body. The indicator indicates a charging state of the second battery mounted on the external module. The indicator is realized by the first indicator lamp(17). The first indicator lamp is exposed to an external side of the first terminal body. The first indicator lamp is made of LED(Light Emitting Diode)s. The LED is displayed in a different color according to whether the second battery is fully charged. |
