<p>Provided is a PTC device reduced in sizes. The PTC device is provided with a first lead (14), which is electrically connected to a first metal electrode (18) of a PTC element (12), and a second lead (16), which is electrically connected to a second metal electrode (20) of the PTC element. The first lead has a cover region which covers at least a part of the first metal electrode of the PTC element, and the second lead is provided with a first region (24), which covers the bottom surface section of the PTC element, and a second region (26), which extends outward from the periphery of the first region. The second region constitutes a connecting region (38) on the peripheral section or end section. A gap section (60) exists between the first region and the connecting region, and the second lead is connected to the second metal electrode such that the first region covers the bottom surface section of the PTC element, and at least a side surface of the PTC element is coated with a resin coating (50).</p> |
