PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a crystal oscillator for surface mounting capable of fixing one end of a quartz piece by sharing a container body having a pillow portion. SOLUTION: In a crystal oscillator for surface mounting in which both corners of one end of a quartz piece 2, extending extraction electrodes from excitation electrodes are firmly bonded to quartz terminals 3, provided on the inner bottom surface of a container body 1 with a conductive adhesive which is not shown in the figure and the other end of the quartz piece 2 is positioned above a pillow portion, the pillow portion comprises 8a and 8b, each of which has a bilayer structure of 8x and 8y provided on the other end of the inner bottom surface. A pier 10 lower than the pillow portion is provided at the center of the other end of the inner bottom surface. When the other end of the quartz piece 2 must be firmly bonded, a conductive adhesive 7 is applied to the pier 10 at the center of the other end. COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT
